Refund Policy
Last updated Version 2026-09-v1
Refunds are reviewed case by case and, when approved, are returned through Stripe or PayPal — whichever you used. The most important rule: a refunded logo number stays permanently reserved. It is never recycled and the global counter is never rewound.
1.Overview
A place in One Million Logos is a one-off purchase of a permanently numbered participation in the project. This policy explains when a refund may be given, how to ask for one, how the money is returned, and what happens to your logo number and your published logo.
Refunds are reviewed individually. We do not promise an automatic refund for every request. This policy does not remove any refund or cancellation rights you have under the law where you live.
2.Your number stays reserved
A refunded logo number remains permanently reserved and is not recycled.
- Refunding a payment does not rewind the global counter of assigned numbers.
- The number that was assigned to your place stays recorded as a historical, reserved number. It is not given to another participant.
- If a payment is refunded before a number was ever assigned to it, there is no number to reserve.
3.When a refund may be considered
We will consider a refund request, for example, if:
- you were charged more than once for the same place, or charged the wrong amount;
- a technical fault on our side prevented your place from being delivered;
- your submission was rejected in review and the circumstances make a refund appropriate; or
- you contact us promptly with another good reason.
A rejected submission is not refunded automatically; rejections are reviewed for a refund like any other request. Where a submission is rejected or removed because it breached the Acceptable Use Policy or infringed someone else’s rights, we may decline a refund or offer a partial refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
4.Full and partial refunds
An approved refund may be for the full amount paid or for part of it. Several partial refunds may be issued against the same payment, up to the amount originally paid. We will tell you the amount before or when it is issued.
5.How the money is returned
Approved refunds are returned through the original payment provider wherever possible:
- Card payments made with Stripe are refunded through Stripe to the card or payment method you used.
- PayPal payments are refunded through PayPal to your PayPal account or the funding source PayPal used.
Once we issue a refund, the time it takes to reach you depends on the payment provider and your bank or card issuer. It can take several business days to appear. We will confirm the refund in reply to your request or by email to the address you used for your claim.
6.What happens to your published logo
A refund may lead us to review the publication status of your logo. A refund does not automatically mean your logo is immediately deleted or hidden. Depending on the reason for the refund and our review, we may:
- keep the logo published;
- hide it from public display, temporarily or permanently; or
- remove it, for example where the refund followed a policy violation.
If you would like your logo taken down as part of a refund, say so in your request. Whatever happens to the logo, its assigned number stays reserved.
7.How to request a refund
- Email support@onemillionlogos.com from the email address you used for your claim.
- Include your logo number if one was assigned, or the status reference from your confirmation email or status page, and the payment method you used (card via Stripe, or PayPal).
- Tell us briefly why you are requesting a refund.
We may ask for more information to verify the request. We will reply with our decision, and if a refund is approved, we will issue it through the original provider.
8.Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank, Stripe or PayPal — we can usually resolve problems faster directly. Disputes are handled under the payment provider’s own process. While a dispute is open, we may hide the related logo pending the outcome. A reversed payment is treated like a refund: the number stays reserved.
This document explains how One Million Logos works and the rules that apply to it. It is not legal advice to you. Nothing in it limits rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.
